He gave us the Word and he gave us a conscience, among other tools. I steer clear of using phrases like "the right one" in reference to religion. Details of faith vary with each brother you meet, so you could say that each man has his own religion. Whatever the sign outside the building says, there are as many religions inside as there are men. No matter how small the difference in doctrine, if it's lived by, it's religion.

"...everything that does not come from faith is sin." Rom. 14:23

"That servant who knows his master's will and does not get ready or does not do what his master wants will be beaten with many blows. But the one who does not know and does things deserving punishment will be beaten with few blows. From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked." Luke 12:47-48

"Anyone, then, who knows the good he ought to do and doesn't do it, sins." James 4:17

"As one who is in the Lord Jesus, I am fully convinced that no food is unclean in itself. But if anyone regards something as unclean, then for him it is unclean." Rom 14:14

'To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, "If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free."' John 8:31-32

My confidence comes from the Word and not from man. I don't know the hearts of men, and I've never been to a congregation where I agreed with everyone on each aspect of their doctrine. But when I have the Word, I have "the right one".

I believe that. Jesus is Lord and lord.

This questions was recently posed to me. I'm interested to see how all of you would respond to it.

"It has been said that God gives us the tools for salvation. If that's true, how do we know the right "tools"? There are hundreds, even thousands of religions. How can we be sure we have the right one?"
