Trust me, he said God was a man, I recall so clearly because it caused quite a point of contention. I started to interject that I though God was beyond gender, but it was lost in the shuffle. And I would think the relationship God has with mankind can be shown as both fatherly and motherly, I mean, He covers all of the bases.
