Seems like Abraham got some pretty special treatment and David was a man after God's own heart. Soloman was blessed beyond imagination and wasn't John considered the apostle Jesus loved, besides the special friends it seemed like he had, ie Mary and Martha etc.We had a discussion class at services recently that brought up a difference of opinion. We are a very close group so the difference of opinion did not cause any negative feelings. However, it is an interesting question.
Did God and/or Christ ever show preference to any one, either a person or a group of persons?
So as not to sway any of you that want to respond, I will not tell you how I answered this question. I will follow with my thoughts after a few have taken a shot at the question
The answer to this question is not a matter of salvation, in my mind, but it does say a lot about ones personal view of God's dealing with mankind.
