Another thing is that the accounts of Genesis chapter 1 and Genesis chapter 2 at first glance both seem to tell the creation story. Why is this? If we go back and re-read Gen 1:20-31, and compare it to Gen 2:1 through Gen 3:24, we can find several things different. As we will find, even reading it in plain English, there was a 6th day creation of mankind (Hebrew = `adam), of all the races. Then, on the 7th day God rested. Then on the 8th day God FORMED "the specific man" `Adam (Hebrew = `eth Ha'Adam). Compare these differences: (1) First of all, in Gen 1:24,25, the animals were created BEFORE mankind (`adam). Compare this to the FORMATION of more animals in Gen 2:19, AFTER the man (`eth Ha`Adam) was FORMED, in verse 7. (2) Then, in Gen 1:28, notice that God told mankind (`adam) to be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth. And God gave them of EVERY TREE to eat. Compare this to Gen 2:17, where God told the man (`eth Ha`Adam) NOT to eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. (3) Next, pertaining to the 6th day mankind in Gen 1:31, notice that God saw EVERYTHING that He had made, and , behold, IT WAS VERY GOOD. Compare this to what God did in Gen 3:16-19. God was not at all pleased with Ha`Adam and Eve. Notice He cursed the ground, and He did not say that it was very good. Most of this is just plain English. But, There are other important facts. Some important words are from the Hebrew manuscripts that help prove this. Such as; in Gen 2:1, the word "host", and in Gen 2:7, the word man. In Gen 2:1, the Hebrew "tsaba", translated to our word "host", comes from the Hebrew word "to mass, meanining, "an army of servants", and can be understood as a mass of persons on a campaign. Then, in Gen 2:7, in the Hebrew manuscripts, the word "man" is `eth Ha'Adam, meaning "the man", a specific individual. In Gen 3:20 many will say that Adam and Eve had to be the very first humans on the face of the earth, because it says "And Adam called his wife's name Eve; because she was the mother of all living". The reason she is called the "mother of all living", is because through her would come Christ Jesus, and we all are living if Jesus lives within us, and without Him, we are not.
