essay, I hope that you won't lump me in with thesis on this response, but I am a Dylan fan and I'm not sure that you got the point of "gotta serve somebody." Personally, I never bought off on the idea that Robert was completely dedicated to Christianity. I don't judge him by that and freely admit that it is my opinion. In any case, if Bobby really did give up on his Christian leaning views, it still does not diminish the message in his music. I could get into the deep detail of some of the beautifully written lyrics in detail, but my guess is that you have some knowledge of such. As for "Gotta Serve Somebody," although I wonder about where thesis is comming from, I think the point was that it appears that you question the core beliefs of Christianity. You have the right to your opinion, but I believe that Dylan is right: there are only two choices, "it may be the devil or it may be the Lord But you're gonna have to serve somebody." Personally, my frustration is not with those that clearly do not serve "the Lord" it is with those that say they serve the Lord, but really don't. It is clearly, not meant as a slam to you because I don't know where your coming from. Maybe thesis does and that's why the posts seem so sharp or maybe that's just the way things work on the Internet.
